Oscar Chìchoni is a self-taught Argentine illustrator and painter born in 1957. In the 1980s he moved to Europe, collaborating, most notably on Arnoldo Mondadori’s science fiction series Urania and its spin-offs, and winning various awards.
Since 1995, Chìchoni has been working free-lance, mainly as a conceptual artist for films and videogames. He won an Academy Award as art director for the film Restoration by Michael Hoffman. In 2000 he published Mekanika, his first collection of work.
Chìchoni is currently living in London, where he works in tandem with the architect Isabel Molina.
