Tim Vigil: Sex, Horror, and Cheesecake

Tim Vigil is an illustrator and comic artist and the co-creator (with David Quinn) of the comic book Faust which was adapted into the 2001 movie Faust: Love of the Damned. He works mostly with horror and adult themes and his work can be both intensely intricate and intensely graphic. If you are sensitive to violence or sex (especially in tandem), or cheesy pinups, Vigil may not be your cup of tea. For those of us who still have, somewhere deep inside, a fourteen-year-old brain that doesn’t quite know what to do with all those feelings of frustration and desire, Vigil is pretty amazing.

Tim Vigil has worked on the comics anthology Caliber Presents at Caliber Comics, Morella at Verotik (the comic book label of The Misfits leader Glenn Danzig), Broken Halo, Gunfighters in Hell (with his brother Joe Vigil), and the art books Dark Utopia and Gothic Nights. Tim Vigil also created the titles: EO and Webwitch (at Avatar Press). Faust: Book of M was nominated for the 1999 Bram Stoker Award for Best Illustrated Narrative.
